When exposed to the pigments, the light creates heat, damaging the follicles, which produces hair.
What are the do’s and don’ts associated with Laser hair removal?
Do’s:
Shave the treatment area 12-24 hours prior to the procedure using a brand new razor. Apply high factor SPF to prevent hyperpigmentation.
Exfoliate the area smoothly as it helps to remove dead roots and makes the skin look brighter and youthful.
Wear loose-fitting clothes on the day of the procedure to avoid irritation.
Don’ts:
Avoid other hair removal methods such as plucking and waxing at least four weeks before the laser treatment.
Do not apply any heavy makeup for 24 hours after the procedure to avoid breakouts.
Keep away from activities such as sauna, gym and hot showers for at least a day after the procedure.
Avoid consumption of alcohol before the treatment.
We recommend that you do not shave right before the appointment as it can cause skin sensitivity.
